A man was arrested on Monday after a car rammed into a crowd of Liverpool fans gathered in the city centre to celebrate the club’s Premier League title win. The incident took place just moments after the team’s open-top bus had passed by, with thousands of supporters still lining the streets.
Terrifying footage of the incident has since surfaced online, showing the car speeding through the packed street and slamming into fans. In the video, the vehicle appears to veer slightly as it hurtles into the crowd, triggering panic and screams as people try to flee.
Several individuals were struck, with some seen lying on the road following the collision, while others rushed in to offer help.

The car was quickly surrounded by police officers, with some fans attempting to confront the driver before authorities intervened. A 53-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
“Emergency services are currently on the scene,” police said in a statement, adding that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the incident, calling it “appalling” and expressing concern for those injured. He also praised first responders for their rapid action.
“The scenes in Liverpool are appalling—my thoughts are with all those injured or affected. I want to thank the police and emergency services for their swift and ongoing response to this shocking incident,” Starmer wrote on social media.
Photos from the aftermath show a fan being carried away on a stretcher, while another injured individual was seen walking with the help of a police officer. Emergency tents were set up near fire engines, with multiple ambulances present at the scene.
