US President Donald Trump issued a strong warning to Iran, saying, “Iran will not enrich — the last thing they want to do is enrich.” He dismissed reports suggesting Iran managed to remove uranium from key sites as “fake news.” Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said, “Iran isn’t making bombs anytime soon. We don’t believe they had enough time to move nuclear materials. It was a tremendous hit.”
Earlier, President Donald Trump dismissed reports claiming that 400 kilograms of uranium were removed from Iranian nuclear sites before US strikes, calling them "fake news." The White House echoed this, suggesting the reports were meant to undermine the President.
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump declared, “The US strike ended the war. Iran’s nuclear programme has been pushed back by decades.”
Addressing the United Nations Security Council, US envoy Dorothy Shea said the strikes achieved their primary goal of crippling Iran’s ability to develop a nuclear weapon.
"These strikes, carried out under the inherent right to collective self-defence as per the UN Charter, were intended to neutralise the threat Iran poses to Israel, the region, and global peace," Shea told the 15-member council.
US President Donald Trump declared that the recent strikes had "completely and totally obliterated" Iran’s key nuclear enrichment sites. He also announced that a ceasefire between Iran and Israel had officially begun.
Israel’s UN Ambassador Danny Danon told reporters, “It’s still early to fully assess the impact. But we know we succeeded in pushing back Iran’s nuclear program and eliminating the immediate threat.”
However, a preliminary US intelligence assessment reported by Reuters suggests the strikes have only delayed Iran’s nuclear efforts by a few months.
Responding at the UN Security Council, Iran’s Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani said, “Iran stands proud and resilient against this criminal aggression. This makes one thing clear — diplomacy and dialogue are the only solutions to this manufactured crisis over Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.”
